Director of Marketing A Director of Marketing is the person with a company responsible for all of the marketing activities for a firm's products. This includes, print, broadcast, internet and other mediums of advertising, as well as marketing activities such as product placement, strategic partnerships, etc. Thomas Green, founder of Service Bay 12, has assumed the role of Director of Marketing for the company.
Tom has been around the field of computer game technologies long before
commercial computer games were marketed.
Tom's mother worked as the computer part of Army Aviation Combat Developments. She conducted and participated in wargames with Combined Arms Combat Development Activity in Ft. Leavenworth, KS; Carlilse Barracks in Pennsylvania, and on Computers in the Pentagon, Bethesda Maryland, and st Raleigh-Durham, NC as well as White Sands Missile Range, Ft. Benning GA and the Defense Language Institute in Monterrey, CA. She was also on the telecommunications committee that met to plan the use of the Department of the Defense Automatic Data Interchange Network (AUTODIN) which led to the Internet that we all use today. So since High School Tom has played with these early computer combat systems and simulators and learned quite a lot about the field of what we now call computer gaming and video gaming. Tom later went on to design several computer games with Dave Barron on the TRS-80 Model-3/4, TRS-CoCo, and the Commodore 64/128. Tom has a quite a firm background in the matter of early computer gaming history. Thomas has worked in various areas of Public relations, marketing, and sales for most of his life. Some highlights of his career include: Assistant to the Public Relations director of Troy State University Assistant Sales Director of WLVN Radio station in Luverne Alabama. Owner and Manager of "Sapphire Talent Management" which held and promoted bands in the southeast to nightclubs, fraternities, and other private and public events. Co-Owner of Sapphire Records of Alabama, under Hieroglyph Publishing Company (BMI) [The Publishers Group], where he marketed and promoted original music works for broadcast and sales. Owner of the retail store "Gemstone Books & Games" where he not only managed a store, but also where he has spent over 27 years marketing products at trade shows, Conventions, and other events. Promoted and marketed "Heroes of Might and Magic IV" for DGA-Games/UbiSoft at trade shows. This was both the CCG game product, and also the CCG/Computer game. In addition to this he promote several other DGA-Games products. Tom has been hired and requested as a marketing consultant for various other companies at places like GenCon, AWA, E3, and other trade shows events, to specifically promote products and companies, and also to help network and promoted the company directors to other business leaders. Many people refer to Tom as the guy who knows everybody.
Tom is personal friends with many well known writers, publishers, actors, directors, studios owners, game designers, broadcast professionals, musicians, etc.... Tom has contacts in various parts of the professional entertainment industry. A few of which include: Gaming Industry Music and Audio Industry Film & TV "To put it in perspective; When Cassandra Gava (producer/actress) was producing a film in Atlanta, with such high calibre actors including Faye Dunaway, David Carradine, and Maggie Blythe, - Cassandra called Tom immediately. She requested his assistance to do product placement and other marketing/PR things, since he was one of the few people she knew in Atlanta that she could absolutely trust to handle things right. This is the level of trust that Tom has in the entertainment industry."
